xkcd.comI’ve added xkcd to my Blogroll (What I Read). Randall Munroe publishes a comic on his website 3 times a week (Monday, Wednesday and Friday).

I’ve been reading the comics at xkcd for a couple months and almost always enjoy Randall’s sense of humor.

My favorite comic so far is Sandwich, which is a funny take on the sudo(8) command. I liked the comic so much, I bought the t-shirt. I wore the “sudo” t-shirt to NYCBSDCon 2006 and got a lot of comments about it. :)

You may have noticed… I’m using a new Wordpress theme. I designed this one myself. I’m no artist by a long shot. Plus, I was hoping to cut down on the graphics and “flash”. I wanted to thank Tech Wench (not that she reads my site) for borrowing Blue Curves for a while. It was almost what I was looking for. I’m not exactly sure how “008″ will end up, but this is more in line with the vision I had when I was looking for themes and first laid my eyes on Wench’s Blue Curves.

Now… “008″. Or “Double Oh Eight”. In HTML color code, “#008″ or “#000080″ is the blue that you see in the navigation bar on the left. It’s also the color of the unvisited links you see througout the site. It’s been a common color used in my websites for years. I thought it was a good name. :)

WordPressI’ve upgraded Wordpress to 2.0.4.

Please let me know if you encounter any problems.

The Wordpress Development Blog mentions that version 2.0.4 fixes more than 50 bugs and is a security release — so upgrades are recommended.

I’m taking my picture gallery down for now. I’m having some database problems and I want to make sure it isn’t because of Gallery.

Thanks for your patience.

OpenBSDI just completed the upgrade to OpenBSD 3.9 for my erdelynet.com web and mail server. Besides the obvious OpenBSD 3.9 upgrade goodness, many of the applications and servers that I run were upgraded with it.

It’s amazing that with each upgrade/re-install I do, how much easier it gets. But, I still run into problems along the way.
