Hey Friends,
This is my first post.
I installed openssh software and was able to ssh Windows machine from Linux
machine & vice-versa without any issues. Of course I had to read the
"README.txt" file as well as "key_authentication.txt" before everything got
placed.
When I ssh from Linux on to Windows, my default home directory is:
"C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\"
Then I generated public key & private key (dsa) using openssh software.
Copied the contents of public key to authorized_keys
(/root/.ssh/authorized_keys) file of a remote Linux machine and was able to
do password-less login from Windows machine to Linux machine.
Then I copied both (same) the public & private keys to /root/.ssh/ folder of
Linux machine and copied the contents of the same public key to
authorized_keys file:( "C::\Documents and
Settings\Administrator\.ssh\authorized_keys" ) on the Windows machine. But
still password-less login is not working from Linux onto Windows.
Please help!
