Actually RDP and VNC do not share or conflict with TCP Port 5900 or 5800.
RDP uses TCP Port 3389 natively and also TCP Port 80 if you use the IIS web
based method...

Here is how I used UltraVNC through a SSH tunnel to a XP box and OpenSSH for
Windows. You may find it of some help...
