Access denied means your either not in the group or passwd file for the SSH service, to check this try using the admin account. OR if you are using this to access a commerical SSH program I have seen some that act only as a SFTP host and will deny terminal access. In that senario you would need to configure the server to allow that.

give it a bad password, or it closes the connection.
