I have a dynamic IP (but it really never changes) cable connection to
the internet. My cable modem is connected to a Linksys Router, with my PC
connected to it (so actually, the IP on this machine is always the same,
the router handles DHCP with my cable provider). So nothing special should
be running other than the normal networking interfaces.

Are there any known dependencies that sshd should wait for on a WinXP
Pro box?

Subject: OpenSSH problem on WinXP Pro

I'm running OpenSSH for Windows (http://lexa.mckenna.edu/sshwindows/) on
WinXP Pro with two user accounts on the box (fast switching enabled).
>From a clean boot of the machine (waiting at the select user logon page) I
can not connect to ssh via PuTTY from another location. OpenSSH is set to
run as a service and start automatically. Other services like this work
fine (I'm also testing out GoToMyPC.com's remote service, which allows me
to connect to the PC even if no users are logged in).

>From a remote location, if I log in to my account on the PC (using
GoToMyPC), and check services, OpenSSH is started and the event log
confirms that the service was started before I tried to connect (prior to
logging in to my user account). As soon as I restart the service, I can log
in successfully -- even if I log off the current user (back to the select
user logon page).

So it seems that the OpenSSH service isn't starting correctly from a cold
boot. Any ideas on why this is happening?
