hi guys,
I tried this small experiment with port forwarding. I am running sshterm on clt client and open-ssh on
srv server. I used portforwarding to forward the local port 2005 on srv to localhost:22 on it. Then from
clt i tried to connect to srv:2005. But a message comes connection refused. However I tried connecting
from a srv itself on port 2005. I could doit without any problem. I tried portforwarding using
command option " ssh -L 2005:localhost:22 localhost " still i could not connect from clt to srv. However
I could log on to the ssh srv from clt by connecting to srv:22.
What wrong was I trying to do? Why are the connections to srv:2005 not forwarded to srv:22
when the requests are from other systems? Is there any way out? Please help me.
best regards,
rajen.
