In order to run GUI programs you can use either Remote Desktop to access the
computer. The server is built into Windows 2000 Server and into Windows XP
Professional (I think it is not available in Home Edition). The client is
preinstalled in WinXP and can be installed on most Windows systems (not for
sure about Win95). Advantage is that the protocol is crypted.

On other Window systems VNC can be installed as server software. Client is
available for most systems native or for a web browser as java-applet. This
protocol needs to be tunneled through ssh.

Both solutions are _not_ a multi-user GUI solution, they only give access to
the desktop. Exception is Windows 2000 server, on that system a user can be
logged on to the desktop, and another user can be logged on through Remote
Desktop.
