First of all, thanks to all of you who post regularly on this
ssh-l@erdelynet.com Mailing List... and thanks Mike (ME) for providing a
mailing list for assistance on topics such as SSH (as well as Cygwin.)

I'm a newbie to SSH... and I've been only monitoring this SSH Mailing List
for a few weeks. This really is one of the best sources on the internet for
info and assistance on SSH. There's a lot of information out there on the
internet about SSH, but very few places that you can find SOLUTIONS.

Take Carl's question for example... His first post was Friday morning and
with the assistance of everyone here, he had a solution by Late Friday night
(Early Saturday AM.) That's awesome.

You could tell Carl was frustrated and had tried many things.

Ben, I don't think the Mike (ME) was being tough on Carl.

I agree with ME. He was patient with Carl.

I just took it that Mike was saying to Carl that the information provided
earlier in the thread should have helped him solve his problem... a bit
sooner... but how many places on the internet will you have a problem solved
within 14 hours of your first post??? That's just great.

Carl, your question helped me (Brett) understand your issue better. I
appreciate you asking the question.

Even after monitoring this mailing list for only a few weeks, one can easily
tell that people here are intelligent, considerate and patient. All very
necessary qualities.

All of us know that having technical issues is frustrating... especially
when you're learning a new technology such as SSH (or CygWin). All of us
are VERY familiar with that... that's why we're all here...

People like Carl (or myself) shouldn't be afraid to post to this mailing
list. This is one of the friendliest places to find intelligent information
given in simple terms.

So, I applaude all of the problem-solvers out there...

Don't loose sight of the fact that you may be answering a question from
someone like Carl, but you're REALLY providing other people like Brett (and
hundreds of additional interested persons) an answer as well.

So again, thanks Carl for asking the question. Thanks everyone for helping
him find a solution.

Brett
