[ssh-l] SSH and VNC accepts password then "Connection Closed"

I've followed the steps on Mike's page at
http://tech.erdelynet.com/sshvnc.asp <http://tech.erdelynet.com/sshvnc.asp>
including enabling loopback on the remote machine.
 
I seem to be pretty close. I know the machine is accepting my password
because when I enter a bad password it tells me "VNC Authentication Failed!"
 
When I enter the correct password I get the VNC message "Connection Closed"
 
This is the furthest I've been able to get.
 
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
