RE: [ssh-l] Win32 error 1062 when starting sshd

ME,

Pardon my ignorance, but where exactly do you make this change. I'm running
WinXP Professional... Is this something configured in the Cygwin
installation or is it in the WinXP installation? Any insight would be
greatly appreciated. Thanks

Most likely, sshd is trying to start before a service it should depend on,
like "tcpip". Try out making the sshd service depend on different
services: tcpip, lanmanworkstation, lanmanserver, . . .

Hi all-
 I am trying to get sshd running on two Win 2K machines using cygwin. By
following the directions on Mike Erdely's webpage, I was able to get ssh
working on the first machine, however, when I try to start sshd on the
second machine, I get the following error: "cygrunsrv: Error starting a
service: QueryServiceStatus: Win32 error 1062: The service has not been
started."

 If I try to start sshd by not using cygrunsrv(by typing /usr/sbin/sshd), it
works.

Any help would be appreciated.
