Hello,
I am experiencing a problem on some servers where the CYGWIN sshd service
does not automatically start up when a machine is rebooted. Once the machine
is up and running and I log in (via terminal services), I can manually start
the service and it works fine.
I tried experimenting with adding a DependOnService reg entry to the sshd
service (I tried depending on Tcpip, then on LanmanWorkstation) with no
luck.
Here are the Event Viewer errors it generates:
Event ID: 7000
The CYGWIN sshd service failed to start due to the following error:
The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely
fashion.
Event ID: 7009
Timeout (30000 milliseconds) waiting for the CYGWIN sshd service to connect.
Why would the sshd service be taking so long to start? Is there any way I
can troubleshoot this?
Any hints would be appreciated.
Thanks,
