[ssh-l] I'm too dumb to be trying this but seek your indulgence nonetheless

I followed the installation instructions for Cygwin SSH found at
http://tech.erdelynet.com/cygwin-sshdmin.asp but when I attempt to
run an X process from a remote host it quits with the following
error:

EXITING cannot recover from error

Sadly, this doesn't mean much to me and my perusal of the list archives
didn't turn up anything that seemed relevant. So, once again, if anyone
has any morsels of wisdom to offer I would be extremely grateful.

NB, the DISPLAY variable seems to be set properly at login. Also, if it
matters, I didn't complete installation of SSHD as I don't intend to use
this machine as an SSH server.
