For those of you that have been having problems with Cygwin, Bash and
OpenSSH, please try the latest versions of everything (listed in the
Subject line). My WinXP RC2 and WinXP RTM machines are very happily
running sshd with cygrunsrv and, on the RC2 machine, fetchmail with
cygrunsrv. I'm also using bash as my shell on both of my machines
(previously only able to run with ash [/bin/sh]).
I am still having an issue with one of my servers. This server is
running as a standalone server with the following services:
- file & print *
- dhcp
- dns *
- rras **
- www *
- ftp *
- terminal server *
- smtp *
- telnet *
* These services are also running on other machines that are not
exhibiting this behavior.
** This service is also running on another machine, but no connection is
active.
So, you'll notice that this server is a DHCP server and a RRAS VPN
server. The server has a constant VPN connection to our office across
the country. These are the only differences between this server and any
other server.
The problem the server has is that, immediately after reboot, when I log
on to the server via ssh, I am immediately prompted with my prompt.
After a few minutes, there is a significant delay between the time that
the /etc/profile is run (known via an echo statement at the end of the
file) and when I'm presented with my prompt. And, after that point, any
attempts to start the sshd service after stopping it fail with a timeout
error.
If anyone has any ideas, please let me know.
Aside from that problem I'm having, v1.3.3-2 of the DLL ROCK!
